Wear-Optimized Impeller – Ideal for Oxidation Autoclaves
The impeller multitalent with a high mixing efficiency. Thanks to different blade angles (standard versions 25° and 53°) and number of blades, this impeller can be universally used for versatile mixing tasks: Including suspension, blending, heat transfer and dispersion, of low- to highly viscous applications.
Processing of concentrated suspensions in metal extraction is associated with demanding requirements for the service life of the impeller. The high tip speeds required for gassing processes in ore treatment often lead to high wear rates, particularly on the impeller blades. The EPOX-R was developed to provide the required mass transport in the POX (Pressure OXidation) process and also reduce wear of the impeller. The modified blade shape prevents eddy shedding and thus a severe impact of erosion. Even without a coating, this drastically reduces wear and greatly increases the service life of the POX autoclave. The impeller blades can additionally be executed with different wear-protection coatings or solid ceramic blades.

What does “Number of sealing faces” mean?
Single-acting mechanical seals These seals have one sealing surface and only seal in one direction. They are generally simpler in design and are commonly used in applications where pressure is applied from only one side.
Double-acting mechanical seals These seals have two sealing surfaces and can seal in both directions. They are ideal for applications where pressure may come from both sides or where a higher sealing performance is required.
Triple-acting mechanical seals These are less common and used in specialized applications that require a more complex sealing setup. They offer additional sealing surfaces or mechanisms to ensure reliable sealing even in highly demanding environments.
