For several years, EKATO RMT has organized seminars and workshops for customers that cover topics with respect to process engineering. These seminars are free of charge and are usually addressed to product and process developers, project managers and those responsible for production or engineering. The contents are always presented by EKATO specialists.
The customer seminars in the months of November and December had following topics:
On the 5th and 6th of November, a general engineering seminar called “Process Engineering Days” took place at the EKATO headquarters with 35 customers from many European countries. The well suited format over 1,5 day was applied. The participants were offered a wide range from the field of mixing technology, with lectures on basics of mixing technology, impellers and agitator design, as well as the numerical methods CFD (Computional Fluid Dynamics) and FEM (Finite Element Method). Finally, all theoretical information could be visualized in the R & D Center through five different practical experiments. At the end of the seminar, the guests were guided through the production and assembly.
On 3 and 4 December, the "Crystallization Days" took place at the EKATO headquarters with 28 customers from many European countries. That time again, the participants were first introduced to the fundamentals of mixing technology on the first day. In the evening, the participants were able to recharge their batteries and have fun at the delicious flying buffet. The second day was devoted to the crystallization process and the crystallizer types with their specific requirements for mixing technology. In addition, the guest speaker Mr. Rahmann of BHS Sonthofen was able to inform about solid-liquid separation processes and explain the importance of the close connection between crystallization and filtration. Finally, all theoretical information could be visualized in the R & D Center through practical experiments. At the end of the seminar, the guests were guided through the production and assembly
In the first week of December, EKATO held three engineering days in the Japanese industrial centers of Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka. About 60 participants from the polymer and chemical industries, food and biotechnology as well as engineering companies were present. The topics of the seminars ranged from fundamentals of mixing technology and the design of gas-liquid reactors to the mixing of viscous media. The theoretical information could be directly visualized by practical experiments in laboratory scale on site. The presentations were rounded off by a guest contribution of the "Meiji Dairies Corporation", which demonstrated the benefits of modern EKATO technology for the processing of food commodities.
The feedback to the EKATO customer seminars is consistently positive. Weeks in advance, the events are fully booked.
