EKATO VST Vertical Dryer for Solids

Design features:

• Vacuum contact dryer for free-flowing solids
• Cantilevered shaft with no product contact at bearings
• Close clearances between agitator and vessel wall prevent product build-up there
• Chopper in conical bottom

Function:

• Vacuum contact dryer with heated walls (contact surfaces) supplying heat of evaporation to product.
• Intensive heat transfer through product circulation
• Continuous renewal of the surface layer through the sweeping action of the agitator
• Reduced boiling points under vacuum speed the drying process

Applications:

• Drying of free-flowing products such as filter cake moist from the centrifuge, shear-sensitive powders or crystals and active pharmaceutical ingredients
• Minimum residual amounts of product remain clinging to the conical bottom of the dryer
• Particularly suitable for hazardous zones on account of the low shaft speeds
