Granulation

In many bulk solids there is a need to mix, convey or package the product while creating as little dust as possible. This can be achieved by the wet agglomeration of free-flowing bulk materials in the EKATO VSM vertical mixer for solids equipped with the patented EKATO PARAVISC for solids agitator. Those fine particles that would tend to generate dust are agglomerated into stable dust-free granules. Close clearances between wall and agitator improve any heat transfer needed for drying the granules and minimize the build-up of products on the wall of the vessel. It is possible to install a chopper in the conical bottom of the unit if needed to prevent any partial overgranulation. The vessel geometry with the discharge opening at the lowest point means that the unit can be almost completely emptied.
