Formulated Products
The most striking aspect of complex mixing operations is the extent to which conditions can change during the course of production:
- viscosity changes
- from minimum shear all the way to intensive dispersion aimed at achieving particle sizes in the µ range
- from the handling of highly laden non-Newtonian mixes of solids and liquids to the intermixing of a dry powder
Coaxial agitators are frequently the answer to such highly demanding process conditions. They make it possible to combine previously separate process steps in a single vessel. As a result, costly components can often be eliminated: kneaders, dissolvers, grinding mills, heat exchangers, dryers, or possibly several conventional single-shaft agitators with their vessels.
