
Leakage collecting tray
By applying a leakage collecting tray contamination of the product by traces of seal liquid or by worn-off seal ring particles is avoided. The collecting tray covers the seal faces from the inside and reliably guides entered seal liquid into a sluice via a radial bore in the seal flange. A collecting vessel can be attached if wished. By this possible leakage can be monitored and removed even during operation. The collecting tray consists of glass-filled PTFE.

Flushing device
For safeguarding undisturbed operation of the mechanical seal certain types of products or their vapors may not get into contact with seal rings or O-rings. By feeding permissible gases, fluids or consistent media directly below the seal, undesired contact between damaging substances and the sealing parts can be avoided. For this a product compatible media is fed below the seal rings via a bore in the seal flange and is released into the vessel having passed an elastomer sealing lip. This creates a zone in the seal ring area into which no product can enter. The sealing lip consists of modified PTFE with very high chemical and thermal durability. Its elasticity allows for the radial movements of the shaft and the flush gap adjusts automatically to the flushing rate.

Temperature sensor
The temperature sensor monitors the temperature of the seal liquid inside the seal housing. It can be used as a switch or as transmitter.
