Reliable test data form the basis essential for designing process engineering equipment. EKATO SYSTEMS offers its customers application-oriented testing on a pilot-plant scale.
The test center is equipped with pilot-scale machines of all SYSTEMS equipment types.

By working together with the laboratory of EKATO Rühr- und Mischtechnik, the complete process route from raw materials and wet chemical synthesis right through to the final product can be investigated and optimized at one location.

Modern instrumentation and control systems together with peripheral equipment such as solvent recovery systems, heating/cooling utilities and CIP units enable work to be carried out under the same conditions as at a production site.

Our range of services includes the testing, evaluation and optimization of these basic unit operations: mixing, drying, homogenization, wet granulation, wetting and solids reactions. If desired, we can offer you supervision of advanced testing programs on one of our rental units installed at your own facility by one of our process engineers.

Scale-up

To assure re-productibility of pilot results to production scale.

Single process steps have to be scaled-up by appropriate criteria to production scale:

• stirring process in vessel
• homogenizing process
• heating and cooling process
